Agriculture in the Classroom
The Farmer Grows a Rainbow
classroom kit focuses on the link between agriculture and the
MyPyramid
nutritional resource with useful lesson plans and physical activity exercises
for first through 5th grade students and will help you make certain the youth
you present to will understand that the "rainbow" of abundant, safe food they
enjoy comes from farmers.
Most of the resources in this kit can be found on-line
here.
The purpose of the kit is that everything is already printed, laminated and/or
magnetized and ready to use with very little preparation.
If you're looking for a hearty, nutritious lunch to accompany this program check out Kansas Stone Soup.
