Ten Things Kids Want to Know About Farming

Grades
4-6, 45 minutes
--- A 22-minute video features kids asking farmers
questions, and taking them on a virtual field trip to farms
around the country. Students learn fundamental concepts of
agriculture, like what a tractor is used for, where does
milk come from, and how big is an acre?
Farm Facts

Grades
4-8, 30 - minutes ---
Students will learn about the
business of farming and gain appreciation for the role
agriculture plays in their life. This program uses lessons,
charts, and graphs from the Farm Facts book highlighting
biotechnology, trade, efficiency in agriculture, and
consumer awareness.
Faces of Agriculture

Grades
3-6, 30 minutes ---
One out of every five jobs in
Kansas is related to agriculture, from production to service
and financial to marketing. This program exposes students
to the many careers available in the food and fiber system.
Farming is More than Food

Grades
1-5, 30 minutes ---
Of course farmers grow our food,
but did you know they grow fuel, candles, aspirin, jello,
golf tees, and thousands of other products we use everyday?
This program lets students match crops grown in Kansas to
the products made from them. Also includes the fun ag
trivia wheel: Get in the Game.
