Jerry McReynolds was elected to
the Kansas Farm Bureau Board of Directors in 1998. He represents the
6th district, which includes Phillips, Smith, Jewell, Rooks, Osborne,
Mitchell, Lincoln, Ellsworth, Russell, Ellis, Trego and Rooks
counties.
McReynolds farms in
Rooks and Osborne counties and produces wheat, grain and forage
sorghum, corn and alfalfa. His operation also includes a 250-head
commercial cow herd, backgrounding, growing and finishing program.
McReynolds has been
actively involved in Kansas Farm Bureau and other agricultural
organizations. He has represented his county as a delegate to Kansas
Farm Bureau's annual meeting and also has served on the Farm Bureau
Vote FBF board. He was a delegate to the Kansas State Board of
Agriculture for 14 years and served on the Kansas State Fair
Long-Range Planning Committee for youth activities. He was a member of
the first class of the Kansas Agriculture and Rural Leadership
program.
McReynolds attended
McPherson College in McPherson, KS, and graduated from Kansas State
University with a degree in agricultural economics. He received the
outstanding senior in agricultural economics award.
McReynolds lives
south of Woodston with his wife Diane, who is a junior high teacher.
They have three children: Shawn, Renee Laird and Michelle Ziegler.
