8th District Director John Stegman
John R. Stegman is a grain and livestock farmer. He was appointed to
the Kansas Farm Bureau board of directors of 1990 and has been
re-elected to two-year terms in 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, and 2000.
Stegman has also worked as
purchasing agent for Crust Buster, Inc., office manager and bookkeeper
for Spearville Co-op; and self-employed as a custom harvester and
carpenter. He served two terms of the Ford County Farm Bureau Board
and as its president for two years.
Stegman has served as
assistant scoutmaster, Little League baseball coach and president of
the Spearville parish council. Currently, he sings in the church choir
and acts as Eucharistic minister and lector for the St. John Church.
Stegman is also a member of the Spearville Knights of Columbus.
Stegman attended Dodge City
Community College. He graduated from Spearville High School in 1956.
Stegman and wife, Berna Mae,
have three children, Bernard, Cheryl, and Carol.
