Our Mission
We are dedicated in providing education,
information and research that will provide the continued well-being
of all persons directly engaged in agriculture or related
enterprises. We advocate for the agricultural industry and defend
social and economic justice for farmers and ranchers. We want to
unlock the potential in agricultural producers to improve their
quality of life.
Our Vision
Enhance the viability and economic livelihood
of farmers and ranchers of the State of Kansas. To create a growing
and thriving industry that allows the young members of the
agricultural community to flourish in the future.
Services
Offered
We offer a number of services to Kansas Farm
Bureau members. A few are as follows:
Research and Analysis
We gather, assemble and analyze laws,
regulations and court cases from numerous sources to identify
problems and challenges that may negatively impact producers located
within the State of Kansas.
Educational
Development
We provide and coordinate educational seminars
on topical issues.

The IRS has approved the Legal Foundation as a
Tax-exempt nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation.

General Counsel:
Terry
Arthur - received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of
Kansas in 1967. In 1969, he completed a Juris Doctor from KU Law School. A
year later, he earned a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University.
In July 1992, Arthur was named General Counsel for Kansas Farm Bureau &
Affiliated Companies.
Arthur has been a partner in
Arthur - Green LLP law firm since 1973. His private practice involves business
planning, corporate taxation and estate planning.
Arthur co-authored a book with
former Kansas Farm Bureau Executive Vice President Dr. John Graham about farm
and ranch estate planning, entitled, "Keeping What's Yours."
Arthur is past president of the
tax section of the Kansas Bar Association and currently a member of the Kansas
Board of Law Examiners.

Mike earned an undergraduate
degree in business finance from Kansas State University and a Juris Doctorate
from Washburn University School of Law, Topeka, Kansas. He is currently pursuing
his Masters in Public Administration from the University of Kansas.
Mike is a native of Goodland,
Kansas, where he grew up on a farm. He has an extensive background in
commercial and civil litigation and public administration.
