On May 24th, the Kansas Farm Bureau Foundations hosted the
2004 KFB Foundations Invitational Golf Classic at Prairie Dunes
Country Club in Hutchinson and had a great day of golf.
A
total of 124 golfers helped raise more than $18,000 for programs aimed at
advocating for agriculture, strengthening rural Kansas and improving the quality
of life in our state through agriculture education, leadership development,
information and research. Partners, sponsors
and prize donors were also key to the success of the event.
The tournament
was played in a scramble format with prizes awarded to the top three teams in
three flights. Taking first place honors in the first flight was the WIBW Radio
team consisting of Craig Colboch, Kevin Mott, John Bohannon, and Mark Elliott
winning with a score of 55.
"Thank you to everyone who
helped organize this year’s event, those who sponsored the event and those who
played,” said Kansas Farm Bureau Foundation Director Valerie Evans. This is the
Foundations’ biggest annual fund-raiser and we appreciate those who supported
the Kansas Farm Bureau Foundation and the Kansas Farm Bureau Legal Foundation
through their participation.
