of Kansas Announce New Health Insurance
Benefit
for KFB Members
Oct. 2, 2009
Kansas Farm
Bureau (KFB) leadership announces a new
insurance relationship that will impact its
116,000 members statewide. Beginning January
1, 2010, Farm Bureau agents in Kansas will
be able to write new health insurance
products through an exclusive relationship
with Coventry Health Care of Kansas. Agents
will have a customized portfolio of
individual health insurance products
available for KFB members through its
CoventryOne
brand. Individuals who are not currently
Farm Bureau members can purchase these
exclusive plans by becoming a Farm Bureau
member.
“Health
insurance is a hot political issue right
now, but it has always been a big issue for
our members who need coverage,” Steve
Baccus, KFB President says. “We are excited
to announce that Kansas Farm Bureau and Farm
Bureau Financial Services have partnered to
find a health insurance solution with
CoventryOne.”
The
CoventryOne
portfolio of products will be available
through Farm Bureau Financial Services
offices located in every county in Kansas.
“There is a
critical need for competitive health care
coverage in Kansas,” Baccus says. “And this
new benefit is a great alternative for
Kansans who are in the market for affordable
health care insurance.”
