AgraGate Climate Credits Corporation and Kansas Farm Bureau will host a series of informational meetings across Kansas to introduce an innovative method for farmers and landowners to take advantage of carbon credits.

Chad Martin and Lowell Mesman with AgraGate will provide information on how farmers and ranchers can earn income from no-till/strip-till crop production, new grass plantings and rangeland management. Landowners and operators will also have the opportunity to sit down with a specialist to get a better understanding of the enrollment process during these meetings.

"These meetings are intended to inform producers about the emerging carbon credits market and the new revenue opportunities in the carbon market for farm operators," says Steve Swaffar, Natural Resources Director for KFB. "All of the state is eligible for the no-till and grass planting options and 78 counties are eligible for the rangeland management option. There also are programs for forestry and agricultural methane."

The meetings are open to any farm operator or landowner interested in learning more about this new market. For a list of times and locations, see this page or the KFB website, www.kfb.org.  Additional information is available from Kansas Farm Bureau (toll free) at(888) 811-0002, swaffars@kfb.org or AgraGate (toll free) at (866) 633-6758 or by visiting www.agragate.com.
