The farmers and ranchers of the state’s leading
agriculture advocacy organization today
announced their endorsement of Rep. Jerry Moran
in the campaign for U.S. Senate in Kansas.
Kansas Farm Bureau president Steve Baccus, a
grain farmer from Ottawa County, made the
announcement in KFB’s Topeka offices.

“Kansas farmers and ranchers have no
more vocal and effective champion
than Jerry Moran,” said Baccus. “We
look forward to working with Jerry
in the U.S. Senate on issues that
impact the lives of family farmers
and rural Kansas.”
As president of Kansas Farm Bureau,
Baccus chairs the organization’s
political action committee, the
Voters Organized To Elect Farm
Bureau Friends. VOTE FBF is governed
by a 10-member Farm Bureau member
committee, elected by their
farmer/rancher peers and colleagues
from each of KFB’s 10 geographic
districts. |
The VOTE FBF endorsement process mirrors Kansas
Farm Bureau’s grassroots policy development
process. It’s a consensus-driven effort that
starts with input from individual farmer/rancher
members. The endorsements are based, in large
measure, on recommendations offered by the 105
county Farm Bureau organizations in Kansas.
KFB President Steve Baccus and
board members Jim Sipes, Jeff Grossenbacher,
George Pretz, and
Jerry McReynolds are on hand for the KFB VOTE
FBF endorsement of Rep. Jerry Moran for U.S.
Senate.
