Thank you for your interest in this contest.
The contest is open to any amateur
photographer (one who receives no income
from photography) who is a Farm Bureau
member of any county in Kansas.
The categories
Farm to Fork
and
Natural Surroundings
are open to photographers who are 18 years
and older, whether they are associate or
voting members. The youth contest featuring
the
Future Farmers & Ranchers
category is open to photographers under 18
years of age who are dependents of an
associate or voting member. Employees of
Farm Bureau, its affiliated companies and
their immediate families are not eligible to
participate in the contest.
All photos must be submitted in JPG format
by email to
photocontest@kfb.org . In the subject
line of the email write “photo contest.”
Write the following information in the body
of the email: name, address, phone number,
Farm Bureau membership number, title of
photo, and category of photo (Farm to Fork,
Natural Surroundings or Future Farmers &
Ranchers).
Photos may only be submitted by the original
photographer. The model and minor release
form must also be completed for each person
in the photograph and can be found at
www.kfb.org/photocontest .
All photos
become the property of Kansas Farm Bureau
(KFB). Photos will be judged on the use of
angle, lighting, balance, color, contrast,
viewpoint and technical ability. Photos in
the contest cannot have been, and may not
be, entered in any other contest, such as
4-H, FFA, etc. One entry allowed per person
for each category. KFB reserves the right to
disqualify photos for any reason.
The top two winning entries from each
category will be notified by email. Those
photos will be displayed at the KFB Annual
Meeting in November and posted on the KFB
website,
www.kfb.org/photocontest .
The top
two finalists from each category will move
on to the People’s Choice competition. The
People’s Choice winner will be decided by
attendees of the KFB Annual Meeting.
Kansas Farm Bureau may, without offering any
consideration to or obtaining the permission
of its submitter, use any such photograph
for any purpose, such as publishing in
Kansas Living and/or Farm Leader Letter,
posting it on KFB’s website, reproducing it
for Farm Bureau use or selling it as a
fundraiser.
