Farm
Safety for Kids
Targets youth grades 1-4. Featuring Ready Rooster, this program shows children how to
stay safe while they play. Some areas of the farm can be dangerous unless
kids remember Ready’s motto: “Sometimes It’s Good to be a Chicken! “
Includes an entertaining video, discussion and demonstrations. This program
could also be used as a KID’s SAFETY DAY presentation. (30 min.)
Safety Net
Targets youth grades 5-8 and features kids talking to other kids about safety on the farm.
Includes video, discussion and demonstrations. This program could also be
used for a SAFETY DAY presentation. (45 min.)
PTO
Safety Demonstrations This fast paced
program never fails to get the crowd’s attention. Great for county fairs,
safety days, FFA Field Days etc. Includes an introduction and the actual
demonstration. The county Farm Bureau is responsible for providing the
tractor, implement, and one “dummy” per demonstration. (20 min.)
Farm
Family Safety
Targets high school students/adults. This program includes video, discussion and
demonstrations. This program can be tailored to specific safety topics such
as harvest, livestock, pesticides, and safe storage and handling of grain.
A set of very graphic farm injury slides is also available on request.
Information concerning First on the Scene(what to do if an accident
occurs) is also
included. (2 hours)
