RULES
The contest is
open to Farm Bureau members of any county in Kansas, whether the
membership is associate or voting. There is no age restriction.
If submitting as a team or group, at least one participant must be a
Farm Bureau member.
Employees
of Farm Bureau, its affiliated companies, and their immediate
families are not eligible to participate in the contest.
Videos may only be submitted by the original creator(s), and videos
can be no longer than 5 minutes (we recommend 2 to 3 minutes).
Videos in the contest
must never have been posted online or entered in any previous
contest, nor can they be used in any future contest.
All videos
become the property of Kansas Farm Bureau (KFB). There is no limit
to the number of entries per person or team. Kansas Farm Bureau
reserves the right to disqualify videos for any reason.
Qualifying videos will be displayed during the 2010 KFB Young
Farmers & Ranchers Leaders Conference, where the winners will be
named. All qualifying videos will also be posted on
www.youtube.com as well as promoted through KFB’s social
networking sites.
This contest supports the same rules as
YouTube’s Community Guidelines. Furthermore, unsafe conduct,
including but not limited to livestock and machinery, will result in
disqualification.
WHAT TO SEND
Entries must be submitted on a CD or DVD, along with qualifying
Participant Forms and mailed to:

Entries must be accompanied with a
Participant Form for each person involved in the video. A parent
or legal guardian must sign the
Participant Form for each minor submitting a video.. Videos may be submitted by individuals or teams.
FORMAT IF SUBMITTING AS A
COMPUTER FILE ON DISC
Video Format:
H.264, MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 preferred
Aspect Ratio: Native aspect ratio without letterboxing (examples:
4:3, 16:9)
Resolution: 640x360 (16:9) or 480x360 (4:3) recommended
Audio Format: MP3 or AAC preferred
Frames per second: 30
Maximum file size: 1 GB
CRITERIA
FOR JUDGING
Videos will be
judged on how well the message is conveyed, creativity, and video
quality.
DEADLINE
All entries must
be postmarked by December 31, 2009 to be considered.
