Kansas Farm Bureau's 99th Annual Meeting

Kansas Farm Bureau's 99th Annual Meeting KFB Annual Meeting 2017 Full Program

President's Welcome

Thank you for joining us at the 99th Kansas Farm Bureau annual meeting.

For almost a century, farmers and ranchers in Kansas have come together so they can better themselves and their operations while also making their communities and our state stronger.

Our mission today of advocacy, education and service were themes to the start and growth of your farm organization in 1919.

In 1915, a pamphlet highlighting the “Farm Bureau movement in Kansas,” said the purpose of Farm Bureau “was to make farming more profitable, life on the farm more enjoyable and rural communities better places to live.”

I would argue that is still the purpose in everything we do throughout the year, and especially when we come together at annual meeting.

Together we will learn about issues that impact our lives. Together we will sort through our grassroots policy and once again polish it before it’s taken to our state legislature and our representatives in Washington, D.C. And together we will work to ensure this policy is heard and understood from the nation’s capital to the consumer and everyone in between.

Thank you for your commitment to your farm organization. Together we will remain the Voice of Agriculture.
