    Travel Tips for Washington D.C

    Transportation in DC

    • When arriving at Reagan National Airport, there will be plenty of cabs to take you to the hotel (about 5 miles away and cab fare runs about $15-20). There will also be plenty of cabs outside of our hotel if you need transportation.
    • If you feel comfortable using the Metrorail, the yellow line runs from Reagan Airport into downtown DC. The nearest Metro stop to the Renaissance Hotel is Gallerly Place in Chinatown or the Mt. Vernon Square Metro stop. Our hotel is located in between both of those stops. Please refer to the Metro map that is attached with this packet.

    KFB LEADs Tips

    • All times on the agenda are reflected in Eastern Standard time.
    • Registration will be held by KFB staff in the Penn Quarter room, near the hotel entrance, followed by dinner with your district director. Please make sure to get registered and join us for a brief LEADs 101.
    • Spouses/guests/children are welcome to accompany the group when making Capitol Hill, however, it is not mandatory for them to attend.
    • Please see the Capitol map below for Senate and House building locations. Keep in mind that the Senate office buildings (SOB) are on the north side of the Capitol and the House office buildings (HOB) are on the south side of the Capitol.
