Excellence in Agriculture Award
The Excellence in Agriculture Award is designed to recognize Young Farmers & Ranchers who actively contribute and grow through their involvement in Farm Bureau and agriculture. Click here to learn more.
Farm Family of the Year Program
The purpose of the program is to recognize outstanding Farm Bureau families who have distinguished themselves through participation in Farm Bureau programs and leadership, family activities, community and civic service, as well as displaying good farm operation management. Each county Farm Bureau is encouraged to annually select a deserving family and honor them at the county annual meeting or similar event. Each county Farm Bureau can then submit their winning family application for one of the 10 Kansas Farm Family of the Year awards to Kansas Farm Bureau. County winners receive a Farm Family of the Year yard sign they can display on their property. The 10 Kansas Farm Families of the Year receive special recognition at the KFB Annual Meeting and a commemorative gift. Click here to learn more.
FFA Discussion Meet
The FFA Discussion Meet is an event designed to stimulate logical thinking, develop skills in communication and problem solving and engage FFA members in solutions for important topics of today's agriculture industry. The competition will bring 4-6 FFA members to the table at a time to discuss an assigned topic for 15 minutes. Participants are scored and ranked on their ability to introduce the topic, analyze the problem, identify solutions, think critically, engage others effectively and summarize the discussion accurately. Topics will change each year, but will focus on issues in crops, livestock, natural resources, ag education and FFA. To learn more, go here.
Natural Resources Award
This award program recognizes KFB members who protect and improve our state's natural resources by using time-honored and cutting edge conservation practices. These farmers and ranchers demonstrate innovative agricultural production and resource conservation to an increasingly urban world. Those interested submit an application to their respective county Farm Bureaus, and each county submits one applicant for the statewide award competition. The state Environmental and Natural Resources Committee select the winners, who are recognized at the KFB Annual Meeting. Click here to learn more.
KFB Photo Contest
The annual KFB Photo Contest is open to any amateur photographer who is a Kansas Farm Bureau member. Participants may enter up to one photograph in each of the contest’s categories. Click here to learn more.
