This statement can be attributed to Rich Felts, Kansas Farm Bureau president.
We know this is only the beginning of budget discussions, but we cannot stress how important crop insurance is to Kansas farmers and ranchers.
The current farm economy shows us how important these programs are. Cutting them would be devastating to the industry, our state and rural Kansas economies.
We have strong congressional leadership in D.C. and look forward to working with the Kansas delegation on ensuring Kansas farmers and ranchers have a seat at the table as these discussions continue.
