The Kansas Department of Agriculture, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, and the Kansas Water Office are inviting Kansas farmers, ranchers and other agricultural stakeholders to participate in a special webinar regarding the state’s efforts to develop an implementation program for the Kansas Water Plan on Aug. 13 from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Because state budgets must be completed during the same timeframe that farmers are engaged in harvest, irrigation and planting, they are providing additional opportunities for stakeholders and growers to learn more about the program development process and provide feedback regarding state investments for our most important water issues.

The webinar will include key takeaways from the six regional meetings recently held across the state to understand local water goals and priorities, an avenue to provide feedback on priorities and programs, and information on future engagement events including the second round of regional meetings in September.

The link to register for the webinar is here.
