- The Life Cycle of a Bee:
- Visual Aid: Use a chart or a series of pictures to explain the life cycle of a bee.
- Interactive Worksheet: Provide worksheets with the stages of bee growth. Have students color and cut out the stages, then paste them in the correct order on a separate sheet of paper.
- Pollinator Garden:
- Pollinator Garden: Plant a garden filled with flowers and other plants that attract and support pollinators. Allow students to assist with planting and upkeep.

- Group Research: Assign students to small groups to research different challenges facing honeybees and their significance to agriculture.
- Presentation: Have each group create a poster or digital presentation to share their findings with the class.
- Exploring Product Uses:
- Lesson on Uses: Teach students about the various uses of bees including pollination, honey, pollen, royal jelly, beeswax, propolis, and venom.
- Hands-On Activity: Provide samples of different types of honey for students to observe and taste. Discuss how these products are made and how different plants impact the flavor and color of the honey.
- Math Integration:
- Measurement and Data: Have students research the average distance a bee travels in a day and then compare that distance using something familiar (i.e. school track, basketball court, football field, playground, etc.…)
- Graphing Activity: Use the researched data to create charts comparing the distance a bee travels in a day and the familiar space (i.e. school track, basketball court, football field, playground, etc.…)
- Art Integration:
- Creative Drawing: Ask students to draw a bee and the different types of flowers or crops it might pollinate.
- Craft Project: Have students create bee crafts using construction paper, pipe cleaners, paint, or other materials.
- Field Trip or Virtual Tour:
- Field Trip: If possible, arrange a visit to a local farm or garden. Discuss the beekeeping process and the importance of bees and pollination in agriculture.
- Virtual Tour: Alternatively, find a virtual tour or online resources about beekeeping.

Ingredients
- ¼ cup honey
- 3 apples
- 2 tablespoons melted peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon shredded coconut
Instructions
- Slice the apples and spread on a plate.
- Drizzle honey and melted peanut butter over the apple slices.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips and shredded coconut on top.
