KFB Ag Education Department: Train the Trainer Program

Overview:

The KFB Ag Education Department is excited to offer the Train the Trainer Program, a dynamic workshop designed for high school students eager to share their passion for agriculture with younger generations.

Workshop Details:

  • Duration: 2-hour session
  • Format: Interactive and hands-on


Workshop Topics:

  • Importance of Ag Education: Discover why teaching youth about agriculture is vital for our future.
  • Event Planning: Learn how to organize engaging ag education events for kids.
  • Resourceful Lesson Ideas: Find inspiration and resources for age-appropriate lessons.
  • Presentation Skills: Develop effective communication techniques to captivate young audiences.
  • Hands-On Activities: Experience practical lesson examples that can be implemented immediately.


Funding Opportunity:

Upon completing the workshop, participants are eligible to apply for a $300 reimbursement grant for their school, club, or organization. This grant can be used to purchase supplies for youth ag education lessons and does not require a matching contribution. KFB County Coordinators must apply for the grant on behalf of the school, club or organization.  The grant application is available on the County Intranet. 


Advanced Training Options:

If your high school students have already attended the initial Train the Trainer workshop, consider hosting an additional workshop such as Train the Trainer 2.0 or Ag Careers to further enhance their skills and knowledge.
