In 2013, long-time Kansas Farm Bureau leaders Doyle and Charlotte Rahjes launched the Leaders Circle Fund, an initiative to unite current and former leaders, alumni, and friends of KFB in a shared mission: to develop the next generation of agricultural and rural Kansas leaders. Through the KFB Foundation for Agriculture, your support helps fund programs like Leadership KFB and Casten Fellows — experiences that cultivate leadership skills, global awareness and a strong voice for agriculture.

The Casten Fellows program was developed to honor the life of Kansas Farm Bureau staffer Jill Casten-Downing and continue her rich legacy. Jill’s love for Kansas, agriculture, leadership development and international travel forms the foundation for the program. Ideal participants demonstrate a commitment to intentional life-long growth and active engagement in Kansas Farm Bureau.

The purpose of this program is to develop grassroots leaders who engage in their communities, look for solutions and create change. Participants gain an understanding of their personal leadership style, develop skills in problem solving and conflict resolution, practice their communication skills, engage in discussions about issues across the state and learn from industry leaders through sessions and tours.
